Welcome to Franklin Method So Cal - Mindbody exercise that will change YOU inside and out!

When you can sense, feel, and picture the inside your body, you have an opportunity to improve how you feel in and move your body. For example, if you understand and can picture your shoulder joint - you have a much better chance of moving your arm and shoulder in a healthy way. Healthy movement means less wear and tear on your joints, muscles, ligaments, and nerves. Eric Franklin teaches his method to many of the finest athletes and dancers around the world - they understand that when they can feel and visualize how they move - they are much more empowered to prevent injury.

Fortunately, you don't need to be a performer to benefit from learning about your body. If you are alive, you are moving in every moment. Are you walking around with tension in your shoulders, neck, or back as many people are? The question I pose to you is - who's creating that tension? Well, you are of course! Sorry to break it to you. More importantly though is do you want to get rid of that tension and feel good in your body? If the answer is YES, then consider a taking a Franklin Method class.

Each Franklin Method class is an opportunity to:

- learn about how your body works and is designed to move
- learn how your brain creates movement
- learn mental training for better harmony between your mind and body
- develop an internal vision of your body

It is the brain that controls your movement and tension levels in your body.  In my classes, I lead you down a path of self-discovery using imagery, self-touch, verbal cues, anatomical concepts, and movement so that you can embody better function. The Franklin Method is an empowering mindbody movement technique that empowerment that teaches self care for a healthy mind, body, and life.

The results of the Franklin Method are that you experience increased flexibility and strength, improved coordination, balance, and concentration, as well as improvement in mood and relaxation levels. Essentially, when you decide what you see in your minfd, you change your body and can do more of what you want to do.

I've been teaching people mindbody movement and imagery since 2002. I practiced dance and gymnastics in childhood but was challenged by chronic pain and muscle tension as an adult. Determined to feel better and dance again, I sought out techniques that would help me to move freely again and feel better in my body. I have a passion for helping people learn how to use the mindbody connection to live healthy, happy lives.  I'd love to speak with you more and answer questions you may have about how I can help you.  Feel free to contact me at 917-627-2442.  Thanks for reading and I wish you healthy days. --Tracie
